God is Real. Jesus is Exactly Who He Said He Was.
That’s the message. Simple. Complete. If you know, you know. If you don’t yet, maybe this will help you start to see it.
I’m not a preacher. I’m not a prophet. I’m just a guy named David Hoffman who stumbled into the most beautiful truth there is, and once you see it, you can’t unsee it. My only job is to point. Like a decoder. Not to tell you what to think, but to help you look where I looked.
The SparkNotes to Finding the Truth
Life is messy. Painful. Loud. But there’s an order behind it all, like music underneath static. Here's the shortcut:
Pray – Even if you don't believe, even if it feels weird. Get on your knees. Ask for help. Ask for clarity. Pray to whatever you think might be listening. You're not alone.
Look and Listen – The signs are there. Always have been. In music. In movies. In the people around you. They start as coincidences, but eventually you'll see the pattern. God is subtle, but never silent.
Believe It’s For You – This isn’t prideful. It’s actually humbling. God exists outside of time. He has all the time in the universe to care about you, yes YOU, specifically. Your life is the most beautifully orchestrated proof of that love.
It’s Everywhere
Once your eyes are open, you start to see it in everything.
The Matrix. The Truman Show. Bruce Almighty. Jesus is all over those stories. So is the enemy. The choice between red and blue pills? That’s free will. That’s God giving you the ability to choose love, truth, light. And the enemy trying to distract you with illusion.
Music is even louder. Kanye, Lauryn Hill, the Beatles, Chance, the 27 Club, Sunday Service Choir. Tiny Desk concerts that feel like heaven opened up for a few minutes. Listen again with the idea that they know. Most of them do. They just can’t always say it as plainly as I can.
God is love. That means all that is truly good, truly beautiful, truly free—comes from Him. All creative acts channel something divine. That’s why artists often feel like messengers. They are.
Fruits of the Spirit as a Compass
You want to know if something’s from God? Check the fruit. Is it loving? Peaceful? Kind? Gentle? Full of joy and self-control? Then it’s from the Spirit.
If it reeks of fear, pride, greed, despair, cruelty—that’s not Him. That’s the other side. Stay vigilant.
And if you fall? If you screw it all up? Get up. Fall on your face seven times? Get up eight. God loves the broken. In fact, he prefers them. It’s easier to reach someone at rock bottom than someone who thinks they’re already at the top.
God Doesn’t Want Perfection. He Wants Surrender.
Jesus didn’t say, "Be perfect." He said, "Love God, and love each other."
He didn’t come to praise the righteous. He came to heal the sick. The addicted. The ashamed. The lost. If that’s you, you're exactly who He wants.
You don’t need to join a cult. You don’t need to pretend to be someone else. You don’t even need to be in the "right" denomination. Just start with honesty. Pray. Look. Listen. Trust that it’s all for you.
One Last Thing
The Bible can feel like a math textbook. It’s full of hard problems and wordy parables. But the truth underneath is simple, like 2+2=4. It just takes some decoding. And that’s what I’m trying to do. Help people see the math.
This message isn't mine. It doesn't belong to me. It's been here since the beginning, and it will outlive me. But if you're reading this, it's for a reason.
Ask God to show you the truth. He will.
